Are you a bread lover who has always wanted to learn how to bake delicious loaves of sourdough yourself? Look no further than this fun Sydney class with Marion!
NEW LOCATION IN NEUTRAL BAY!
Gather your friends and join Marion at Sydney Cooking School in Neutral Bay for 4.5 hours of hands-on making and baking in the Alfresco kitchen.
This workshop is also a great activity idea for birthdays, hens parties or team building activities.
Class outline:
  • Make your own sourdough from scratch, using only general household equipment, and learn all the tips and tricks to be able to do it again at home!
  • Learn about the fermentation process and make your own starter.
  • Make delicious sourdough crackers and pancakes.
During this casual class, you will also enjoy a gourmet grazing board and be able to ask all your questions about baking and maintaining a healthy sourdough starter.
Please note:
  • A minimum of eight guests is required to run the class. If the minimum required is not met, the workshop will be rescheduled.
  • Sorry, this class cannot accommodate special dietary requirements.
  • Once back at home, you will need a dutch oven/cast iron pot with a lid or equivalent to bake your bread (No need to bring it with you, you will only need it at home the day after the class).

  • Add 100g of live, mature sourdough starter ($10)
You can add these when you book (optional).

Beginner-friendly, no prior knowledge or experience required.

Growing up in a family of French chefs, I have always been passionate about food and used my baking skills to make friends around the world (who can resist a beautiful cake made with love?).
I shifted my focus from cake to bread a few years ago and worked for a couple of months in a bakery to learn the basics. 2020 and its lockdown gave me the time to perfect my techniques using only general household equipment.
Making my own bread every week gave me so much joy and satisfaction, I now want to share my passion with everyone!
