What you'll do
During the school holidays, we’ll be offering exciting sewing workshops for teens. You can book your teen into one, two, or all three days, with different projects being completed each day.Our teachers are qualified in Textile and Fashion Design, bringing their knowledge and expertise to each class. We take great pride in our sewing programs and have designed this school holiday workshop to inspire and teach the next generation how to sew.Each session begins at 9:30am, with pick-up between 3pm - 3:30pm.1st October – Sew a Teddy Bear. In this session, teens will sew a simple, custom teddy bear using the fabric of their choice.2nd October – Zippered Pencil Case. This project is slightly more advanced and perfect for teens who have attended a previous class with us, as it involves learning how to insert a zipper.7th October – Design & Sew a Tote Bag. Teens will get creative by designing their own fabric using dye pens before sewing it into a stylish tote bag, complete with a pocket.8th October – Sew a Cushion Cover. In this session, teens will design & sew a cushion cover.If there’s extra time, we’ll work on additional fun projects!All materials and sewing machine hire are included in the price. If your teen prefers to bring their machine, please ensure it’s either purchased or serviced within the last 12 months.

Our story began in 2018 in a small Redfern studio. With only one desk and one sewing machine, our first class was published and we haven't looked back. Our passion for the arts coupled with bringing people together, brought our vision of launching a creative hub to life. In our modern world, everything moves quickly, we have adapted to a fast-paced environment and sometimes it can be hard to slow ourselves down. Sydney Creative is a place for people to relax, regroup and find a creative outlet that will hopefully aid in bringing people a sense of achievement, fulfilment and joy. Today, our classes run from our own venue in Redfern. We run lots of different creative classes from Sewing to Jewellery, painting and lots more, we love following the trends and developing new classes for our customers to enjoy.
