Day-to-day, you can find Laine supporting her team as they craft captivating class listings, writing heartwarming stories from within the teacher and student community and staying up-to-date with the latest Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategies.
With over 30 workshops taken on the ClassBento platform, Laine's love for exploring new skills and crafts shines through in both her work and life. In her downtime, you might find Laine seated behind the potter’s wheel making not-so-perfect ceramics, roller skating around her local neighbourhood or taking her dogs out for an adventure in nature. And if you notice these activities changing week-to-week, that’s because her motto is to never stop learning!
Career StoryLaine began her writing journey studying for a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) at the University of Technology, Sydney. Here she honed her storytelling skills and developed a keen eye for local, trending narratives.
Since completing her degree in 2017, Laine’s words have graced the pages of publications like Travel Weekly, SheSaid, Mamamia, B&T, WILD Magazine, A Girl In Progress and The Ladders. Her articles covered a wide range of topics, from self-development to women’s health and inspirational travel.
Beyond words on a page, Laine’s career has also taken her through the world of television production and digital media. Over four years, she contributed her content and storytelling expertise to prestigious shows such as SBS’s Insight program. She also completed a fun stint on the first two seasons of the BBC’s popular quiz show Mastermind.
Laine tapped into a love of visual and audio storytelling during her time assisting the digital news team at SBS, as well as her early work producing an interview-led podcast for a consulting agency. Now she has brought this ability to craft compelling content across various mediums to her role at ClassBento.
Laine has been able to leverage this experience as an Editorial Manager at ClassBento, combining her expertise in media, storytelling and creativity. Driven by her love of learning and creativity, she continues to inspire her team and ClassBento’s audience with her infectious enthusiasm for craft and community.
