What you'll do
Join us for an enchanting twilight experience amidst the lush gardens of Firescreek Botanical Winery.You will have the rare opportunity to witness the magical glow of fireflies and listen to the soothing chorus of frogs under the stars. This intimate nature experience offers a unique glimpse into the vibrant nocturnal life that thrives in our winery’s natural habitat. Limited spots are available, so reserve your place for an unforgettable night of wonder and connection with nature. Only five exclusive sessions are available.This experience also makes for a lovely gift idea, which can be arranged for someone special.Enjoy a guided walk through our serene winery gardens, illuminated by the soft glow of fireflies and accompanied by the gentle sounds of frogs. Our expert guide will begin with a briefing on firefly behaviour, their role in the ecosystem and fascinating facts about these magical creatures. You’ll also learn about the frogs that make their home in the winery’s lush environment.This experience is designed for small groups to maintain an intimate and respectful interaction with nature.To ensure the safety of our delicate wildlife, we kindly ask all participants to follow these important rules:
- No touching: Fireflies are fragile and even brief contact can harm them. Please admire from a distance.
- Quiet enjoyment: Keep noise to a minimum to maintain a tranquil atmosphere and avoid disturbing the wildlife.
- No flashlights or phones: Bright lights disrupt firefly activity. We’ll provide lighting for the walk.
- Stay on designated paths: To protect the plants and creatures, please remain on the paths marked by your guide and use the chairs provided to sit and enjoy the amazing sight.
- No insect repellent: The winery grows organically. If you wish to use repellent, please do so before coming to the winery as you will not be able to apply at the winery, even in the car park. Long sleeves and pants and enclosed shoes are recommended.
- Wet weather: If there is only a small amount of rain, the tour will continue. Please bring a raincoat or umbrella. In the event of heavier rain, the tour will be cancelled and refunds provided.
- Unpredictable: As fireflies are animals in the wild, it is difficult to determine how many you will see on any given evening. There are always some that come out and if you don’t see one we will refund you.
- If the winery cancels due to weather or no fireflies, a full refund will be provided.
- You may bring along your infants (aged 0-1) for free.
