Looking for beautiful handmade Christmas gifts or do you want a festive keepsake to decorate your home?
This DIY craft box includes all the materials needed to create a set of large, medium, and small Christmas gnomes from the many colour selections. (approx 45cm, 35cm, and 25cm tall)
In this craft box you'll receive:
  • Colour DIY instructions.
  • Pre-cut fabric hats with fur trim pre-sewn on the hat edge for three sizes.
  • Pre-cut and pre-sewn gnome bodies in three sizes.
  • Pre-cut beard and moustache fur pieces in three sizes.
  • Pre-cut circle felt base in three sizes.
  • Three wooden beads in three sizes for gnome noses.
  • Three pre-bagged recycled plastic pellets in three sizes.
  • Bag of hobby fill.
  • Needle and bobbin with white thread.
  • Wooden chopsticks to help turn hats inside out.
Your kit comes with complete photographic instructions inside so that you can enjoy creating a beautiful handmade Christmas keepsake over a few hours at your own pace.
To create your Christmas gnomes, you will use the following processes:
  • Simple running stitch used to gather body and backstitch used to sew hat (if you have access to a sewing machine you can sew up your hat to save time or I can do this for you as part of the optional extras).
  • Hot gluing, felt base, nose, beards, and hats to finish.
  • Sewing and gluing the optional embellishment kit to finish.
You will need the following tools in addition to your DIY Kit:
  • Scissors.
  • Hot melt glue gun and hot melt glue sticks.
  • Additional coloured thread if white thread included not suitable.
The kit will be delivered in a box using ClassBento's courier.

  • KIT A - Dark green hat with mini gold starbursts, green velvet body, with smooth brown and khaki beard.
  • KIT B - White hat with silver snowflakes and silver spot with grey crinkle velvet body and grey with white-tipped shaggy beard.
  • KIT C - Red hat with gold snowflakes and gold shiny body with beige beard.
  • KIT D - White hat with mini silver starbursts, white velvet body with long white beard.
  • KIT E - Shiny blue hat with silver snowflakes, navy crinkle velvet body with smooth grey beard.
  • KIT F - Cream hat with gold snowflakes and gold spot with red crinkle velvet body with long white beard.
  • KIT G - Cream hat with gold spots and rose gold sequin body with smooth blush pink beard.
  • KIT H - Shiny silver hat with silver snowflakes and grey crinkle velvet body and grey with white-tipped shaggy beard.
  • KIT I - Black hat with mini gold starbursts and black and gold glitter poodle fur body with beige black-tipped fur beard.
  • KIT J - Red hat with large gold and red snowflakes, red crinkle velvet body and brown and beige beard.
Please note the kit photos include a beautiful custom-made beaded hat embellishment. These embellishment kits are available separately for $5 below.
There are lots of other custom choices, please contact your teacher if you would like other choices.
Also, the long white beard is very popular, please add in a note at ordering if you prefer the long white beard instead of the included beard.
Please note:
  • There are limited kits in each colour so get in quick to secure your favourite.
  • The colour in the photos shown may vary slightly to real life. Various fabrics are used and some are more stretchy than others which will vary the body size of your gnome.
  • Free delivery of the kit by courier for locations in Australia.
  • This craft box is suitable for children over 12 with adult supervision especially with the use of a glue gun. Instructions include safety recommendations when using a glue gun.

I have been creating costumes and props for the last 15 years for school theatre productions with a wonderful team of volunteers. As part of this, I ran a craft group to create the many props, costumes and craft pieces. I've now started my own business - Imagine by Samantha.
After the 2020 Covid interrupted year, I really wanted to bring back that feeling of getting together in a craft workshop and enjoy some face to face contact. My first Class Bento workshops last year were designed to create some festive cheer, so I set about designing some easy beginner Christmas gnome sets to make in a workshop and take them home for decorating your home or giving them as a beautiful handmade gift.
One of my other favourite activities over the years has been creating handmade fabric and cardboard flowers which I used in embellishments in various costumes and props. With Mother's Day coming up, I have created some beautiful Mother's Day gifts with an array of 3 dimensional fabric flowers presented in a shadow box to show that special appreciation for your Mum with the option of including a photo or Mother's Day wishes.
I love creating using recycled items and up-cycling items where possible. For the Festive gnomes I approached a local company to obtain 100% recycled plastic pellets from their manufacturing process and have used some vintage jumpers to make some of the hats too.
