In this exhilarating youth sports nutrition experience, you will delve into the world of optimal nutrition for peak performance and overall health. Discover the importance of fueling your body with the right foods to excel in your sport and daily life. We will learn the difference between macro and micronutrients, the importance of quality food intake, "protein pulsing, " and optimal timing of food intake.
You will learn how to prepare delicious and nutritious meals and how to change your macronutrient ratio of this meal depending on your energy expenditure. This meal will nourish your body, boost your energy levels, and enhance your performance on the field or court.
Don't worry if you're new to the world of sports nutrition – this experience is designed to be informative and interactive, with friendly instructors guiding you every step of the way. You'll get hands-on experience working with a variety of ingredients and creating tasty dishes that you can easily incorporate into your daily routine.
By the end of the experience, you will walk away with valuable knowledge about how to fuel your body for success, as well as the recipes to recreate the delicious meals at home. Get ready to elevate your game with the power of proper nutrition!

Food Is Medicine Kitchens offers more than just cooking classes. As a qualified clinical practising Nutritionist, Edwina offers a nutrition seminar covering the latest research on a particular topic such as heart health / brain health / sports nutrition. Then together with a well known Chef Katie Ridgeway, we cook a recipe that reflects the health recommendations. Finally we eat the delicious meal we have prepared. These classes are both informative, fun and educational.
