Turn Your Favourite Photo Portrait Into a Mosaic Workshop

Utilise our unique mosaic portrait maker technology to create a mosaic portrait of a loved person or pet!Merryl's Mosaics have come up with a technique which enables you to make a seemingly difficult mosaic - a portrait - with ease! Our mosaic portrait maker technology takes your portrait photo of a child, baby, partner, dog, cat, mother - or anyone you love - and produces a unique mosaic with everything you need to make your personalised mosaic! This is truly a unique experience and makes for a wonderful personalised wedding, anniversary or special birthday gift. And you will love the process as you connect deeply with the subject while making the piece. The good news is that it is not difficult, making it perfect for beginners. If you are a crafty person, a patient person or have good attention you detail, then this process is for you. Mosaic is a creative, mindful, therapeutic art form and is a joy to experience. All you have to do is email us a portrait photo of your chosen one, choose your colour group out of our five colour options and choose whether you want a 40cm x 40cm board or 40cm diameter circle. Then we will convert your photo into mosaicable format, transfer it onto the board, and prepare your portrait mosaic ready to begin when you walk in. We will teach you how to make your mosaic from start to finish, such as cutting glass and how to grout your piece. Making the mosaic portrait will take anywhere from 15 to 30 hours, so you can either choose the first option and attend the Kick-start Workshop, then take your mosaic portrait maker kit home to complete at home, OR choose the second option and attend the Kick-start Workshop, then book in to our casual mosaic sessions to complete your piece at a time convenient to you. We have many casual mosaic session time slots and you can book in when suits. You can continue working in our studio until complete, or purchase remaining tiles, cutters and grout and complete at home. By the end of the class, you will make a totally customised and one-of-a-kind mosaic that strongly resembles your subject!We are also offering our mosaic portrait maker as a kit which will come with an instructional video and everything you need to make the portrait, so if you would prefer to make the mosaic at home without attending the Kick-start Workshop, or would like to gift the kit to a special person, please message us.This is a truly unique offering. We will be keeping classes small so please book in to secure your spot. We can't wait to share this technology with you!Note: If you would like to schedule your session during weekdays we are very flexible and can accept as little as one booking during a weekday as we have capacity to work with you even if it is one-on-one. This workshop is targeted at crafty people and people with high attention to detail. Some mosaic experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
