arrow_right_alt arrow_downwardRich in history, and spanning many cultures, the art of tarot has drawn people into its magic for centuries. Arguably one of the most common tools of divination in the world, this craft crosses cultural and spiritual boundaries to create a uniquely personal experience. But as a beginner, a tarot reading can be a steep, confusing learning curve, and we’re here to give you a leg up and demystify the challenges when starting out. In this two and a half hour workshop, you’ll get the low down on the classic Rider Waite Smith system of tarot. We’ll start with covering the basics, including symbolism in the images, archetypes, astrology, numerology, helpful tips and tricks, as well as the major and minor arcana before moving on to the process of laying out a reading. After running through the nitty-gritty on the theory side of things, we’ll play some fun little games to put our learning into practice and get into the swing of things. Finally, we’ll finish the session with some practice readings on each other. Perfect for the beginner, or those wanting to refresh their skills, you’ll leave this workshop with the know-how to start your tarot reading journey. Please note: This venue is located on the first floor via a flight of stairs and does not have wheelchair accessibility.
- A comprehensive tarot reading booklet to take home and use while practicing - Expert guidance from a tarot reader - Tea!
- Your favourite tarot deck (if you don’t have one, you can find free printable decks here) - An open heart and mind
Work-Shop Melbourne - 136A Cromwell St, Collingwood, VIC
This venue is a short walk from Collingwood station (500m).
Liana Kappelle
Initially drawn in by the art, it wasn’t long before Lianna developed a deep love for tarot and the obsession began. Fast forward four years and she’s condensed her experiences and is keen for students to learn from her mistakes and eureka moments.
