Soap Making and Bath Bomb Workshop for Kids

If you're searching for a great school holiday activity for a creatively minded child, this Sydney workshop provides hands-on messy fun that you don't have to clean up! This all-day workshop is part craft, part science and part art! Your child will make their own bath bomb mix while learning what makes them fizz. They will work in teams to create their own colours and scent their mix to create at least three bath bombs each. The team will also create their own layered soap, working with a safe soap making recipe (ie: no lye or caustic soda) they will learn how to colour, scent & mould shapes before layering these into their bars. What kids will learn:

• How to mix easy natural ingredients to make a bath bomb mix
• How to colour and scent their bath bombs
• How to shape their coloured and scented mix into bath bombs
• How to melt soap mix to create their soap base
• How to colour and scent their base
• How to create moulded shapes and layer beautiful bars of soap

We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, so in our workshops, your child will have the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy learning some new skills away from their screens. Kids will learn new skills they can apply to future fun projects outside of class. Class sizes are always kept small so they enjoy hands-on assistance while learning and creating.Please note:

• Children should be OK to be left unattended, as our space is secure and not open to people who have not booked into a workshop. All teachers have a valid working with children check that can be shown upon request.
• Parents need to drop off children in person and complete the admission and a release form that will indemnify Made by Me Workshop from any claims or liability related to any accidents that occur while participating in any of our kids workshops.

Cancellation policy:Due to the limited number of spaces in our workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non-refundable. You can reschedule your class with up to 7 days notice. Bookings that are rescheduled with less than 7 days notice will incur a $50 rescheduling fee, rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation without the possibility of a refund. If future workshop dates or times are not suitable, you can use the value of your booking toward another workshop but we ask that you rebook within 6 months of your original booking. You are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum numbers are not met in which case we will offer to reschedule or a full refund. Please note it is not our intention to cancel any school holiday workshops as we know if can be difficult to find alternative care at short notice (please tell your friends!)Sadly we can not accept Creative Kids Vouchers at this time.

Beginner-friendly. No prior experience is required, this class has been developed for children in years 3 to 6 inclusive at school.
  Use of our tools as well as all the materials needed to create their pieces. We will provide an apron for your child to wear in the class but it can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress.
  BYO lunch, snacks, or any other dietary needs. Due to allergies we discourage sending foods that contains nuts. Please let us know when you arrive if your child has any medical conditions that we need to be aware of.
