Sculpture Class for Beginners

Learn how to sculpt clay figures in Collingwood

6 hours Class size 8 to 10 guests     $140

Bring your dream of sculpting to life with our full-day workshop. In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to create your very own human head sculpture using air-dry clay, modelling wire, basic tools, and your own hands. This immersive and intensive session is designed for complete beginners and anyone with previous experience and will be led by the incredibly talented Alexander Esenarro, a professional sculptor with over 20 years of experience.

With his guidance, you'll learn about facial anatomy, relative proportions, surface modeling, and experiment with a variety of sculpting tools. By the end of the workshop, you'll be amazed by the unique and beautiful sculpture you've created, which you can take home and show off to your friends and family.

Please note that this workshop is limited to only 10 students to ensure plenty of 1-on-1 guidance from Alexander.

Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

Please note: This venue is located on the first floor via a flight of stairs and does not have wheelchair accessibility.

Esenarro has been creating sculptures over the past 20 years, he has chosen ceramics as his medium for its unique beauty and strength. His love for the human anatomy and its complexity is expressed through his ceramic sculptures, in which he attempts to incorporate unconscious aspects of the personality that the conscious ego does not identify in itself. He is interested in creating sculptures in which people can feel identified with those harmless characters that live inside the mind.
