Screen Printing Workshop for Kids (Ages 8-12)

If you're searching for a great school holiday activity for a creatively-minded child, this Sydney workshop provides hands-on messy fun that you don't have to clean up!Join us for an exciting and creative screen printing workshop designed especially for kids aged 8 to 12! This full-day workshop is perfect for young artists who love to explore new techniques and create their own unique designs.Guided by experienced instructors, kids will dive into the colourful world of screen printing. They’ll start by learning the basics of stencil design, with the opportunity to create their own stencils or choose from pre-made templates. With safety in mind, we’ll guide them through the process of cutting out their designs and preparing them for printing.Throughout the day, kids will practise screen printing techniques, experimenting with colours and patterns on scrap fabric before moving on to their final project. They can choose to print their own tote bag or cushion cover. Each child will leave with a one-of-a-kind creation they will be proud to say was "Made By Me!"Our structured approach ensures that every participant can express their creativity while staying within manageable boundaries, helping to build confidence and skills. With plenty of breaks for snacks, lunch, and a bit of fun, this workshop is both engaging and educational.If you wish to send a plain t-shirt along with your child, they can also have a go at printing this. We don't supply t-shirts due to the variety in sizes. Natural fibres print best, and it is a good idea to prewash for best results.We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, so in our workshops, your child will have the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy learning some new skills away from their screens. Kids will learn new skills they can apply to future fun projects outside of class.Please note:

• Class sizes are always kept small so that they enjoy hands-on assistance while they learn and create.
• Our space is secure and not open to people who have not booked into a workshop.
• All teachers have a valid Working with Children Check that can be shown upon request.
• Parents need to drop off children in person and complete the admission and release form.

Cancellation policy:Due to the limited number of spaces in our workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non-refundable. You can reschedule your class with up to 7 days' notice. Bookings that are rescheduled with less than 7 days' notice will incur a $50 rescheduling fee. Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a cancellation without the possibility of a refund. If future workshop dates or times are not suitable, you can use the value of your booking toward another workshop, but we ask that you rebook within 6 months of your original booking.You are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum numbers are not met, in which case we will offer to reschedule or a full refund. Please note it is not our intention to cancel any school holiday workshops as we know it can be difficult to find alternative care at short notice (please tell your friends!)Sadly, we cannot accept Creative Kids Vouchers at this time.

Beginners welcome. No prior experience required, this class has been developed for children aged 8 to 12 years of age.
  All materials are provided including use of our screens and printmaking tools, inks, stencils, and more. Each child will choose to either print a tote bag or cushion cover for their final project and will keep all their test prints made throughout the day.
  Please send your child in old clothes suitable for art activities. BYO lunch, snacks, or any other dietary needs. Due to allergies, we discourage sending foods that contain nuts. Please let us know when you arrive if your child has any medical conditions that we need to be aware of.
