Mid-week Instagrammable creative vibes at Darling Square with YaMogu Lettering and Design!

Brush lettering is a beautiful and creative art form, and ANYBODY (yep, even you!) can do it. We get stuck into the nitty-gritty,  doing warm-up drills to introduce you to the pressures and strokes of the brush pen. Once that’s all in place, each letter of the alphabet will be deconstructed into strokes to help you understand how each letter is formed. Getting these basics under your belt means having the technical knowledge to go away and be wildly creative with your own lettering projects!

You’ll not only leave with confidence and key skills of lettering, but we throw in your very own set of brush pens and a workbook so you can letter to your heart's content at home!

Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class

What you'll get
  • 10 pack of Artline Stix Brush Pens
  • Worksheets to practice, practice, practice!

What to bring

YaMogu Lettering & Design

YaMogu was founded by Alena, a Sydney-based graphic designer and a self-taught Hand Letterer/Calligrapher. Her passion for anything handwritten started from younger years when back in Russia her mother taught her cursive writing. This passion grew stronger during her studies at University whilst she was studying Bachelor of Visual Communication.

Overwhelmed by how much the digital era is taking over, Alena picked up the brush pen, the nib pen and started learning the art of brush lettering and calligraphy. Now she is eager to pass this skill on to people who are eager to learn this art, as she believes that writing with our hands is a skill that should never be replaced by a font/typeface.
