Our Crochet Workshop – Part 2 will further develop your crochet skills and techniques! This is a follow-on workshop from our original and Beginners Crochet Workshop – Part 1. If you are not a complete beginner, already know some crochet basics, how to do some basic stitches and how to read patterns, this workshop is for you.
Learn some more commonly used crochet stitches. Bring some squares you have made and learn how to join crochet squares together. Squares can be crocheted or stitched together to make blankets, wallets, bags and clothing. Practise stitching in rows, which will enable you to create a small wallet from a crochet square.
What is covered in this class:
  • Continue to learn these basic crochet stitches (US term): single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), Magic ring cast-on
  • Explain the difference between a Yarn over (yo)/ yarn under (yu) and when they are commonly used
  • Join edges together
  • Practise stitching in rows
  • Weave in ends
Classes are small, intimate and hands-on so everyone can work at their own pace and get assistance. All tools and materials are provided. We encourage you to bring in some crochet squares and the matching yarn to continue your project.
After attending our Crochet Workshop, you might like to attend our Social Crochet Meets or our Beginners Amigurumi Crochet Workshop, to further increase your crochet skills and explore the world of crochet!
