Beginners Crochet is one of our most popular classes and is such an easy craft to get started in. We provide everything you need to get started including a crochet hook and a ball of yarn, so all you have to bring is yourself and a little bit of patience!Students will learn basic crochet techniques, some of the most common stitches and how to read crochet patterns. Put all these together and you will start your first basic granny square! Find out about different types of yarn, crochet hooks and where to find crochet patterns. Classes are small, intimate and hands-on so you will get the most out of your time.This is a beginner-friendly class kept to a small size so you have plenty of time to ask questions and learn from your teacher. This is an adult’s workshop, suitable for ages 15 years old and up. Please check our other class for kids and family workshops.What is covered in this class:
- How to hold a crochet hook
- How to hold the working yarn
- The crochet language: US & UK crochet terms

Classes teach a range of skills that are related to design, art and craft. We are also an open workshop space and drop-in sewing studio for Designers, Artists, Makers and Creatives. Our workshop is located on the edge of the city in Chippendale.
