After School Mosaic Course for Kids and Teens

Learn how to make a mosaic at this after-school mosaic course for kids! This is perfect for parents looking for creative and fun after school activities in Melbourne. At the end of the course, kids will take home their awesome mosaic work.Mosaicing is a creative, meditative and satisfying art form and enables unique expression. This is a great way to engage your child in a creative activity and get them off their devices, plus it's beginner-friendly. Our classes are suitable for children from eight-years plus, as children must be able to cut tiles at an entry-level. At our mosaic classes, children will learn to make beautiful mosaics for indoors or outdoors. They will learn step-by-step and can become remarkably competent. Kids can choose from a wide range of products and wooden templates such as a heart, cupcake, lizard, picture frame, tissue box and many more. They can use some provided designs or even design their own. All tools and basic materials are supplied and we provide one teacher for every six children.Throughout the after-school course, kids will work on a project of their choice, which they will leave at the studio until complete. The cost is all-inclusive of glass, tools etc. except for the product that they choose to make. This is usually around $9 to $15 per product and is required once roughly every five to six weeks.Mosaic classes are run during the school term as after school activities and children attend weekly throughout the term (pre-payment is required). During the holidays we run school holiday programs instead.

No knowledge required. Kids must have the muscle strength to cut their tiles. If your child is keen and is seven-years-old, they should come in and try it out.
  Kids will develop their mosaic skills in leaps and bounds and will become competent mosaicists over a short time. They will experience mindfulness, gain confidence, socialise (if they choose), and enjoy the experience. They will also take home their piece once it's completed.
 

• If your child has a project or idea in mind, they should contact the teacher prior to the workshop to discuss. We like to get kids going at their first session and sometimes pre-planning is required.

This class series runs over 10 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.
