What you'll do
Join us for a unique woodblock print making class in Melbourne at Wood Play Studio! In this workshop, you'll learn how to create your woodblock design, carve a stencil using woodcarving gouges, and print your design on paper and fabric. You'll even get to print your own t-shirt or tote bag to take home.If you're new to print making, no problem! This class is perfect for beginners and our creator Olivia O'Connor will guide you every step of the way. You will be provided with all the necessary tools and materials, so all you need to bring is a 100% cotton t-shirt or tote bag for printing. If needed, you can purchase either from Wood Play Studio.During the class, you'll experience the joy and creativity of bringing your design to life through carving and printing. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a set of unique prints to decorate your space and a custom-printed item to show off your newfound skills.

Knowledge required
If you are a complete beginner or a more experienced artist looking to explore a new medium, this workshop is for you! With the group, you will explore the materials, tools, and safety precautions necessary for woodblock carving.
What you'll get
You take home all your paper prints and your very own printed T-shirt or tote. You can also take home your woodblock stencil to keep printing at your leisure. Wear your T-shirt design and carry your tote with pride!
What to bring

Wood Play Studio is located on Level 2 of the Coburg Studios located on the corner of Charles and Lens Street Coburg. There is plenty of street parking around the building. Please do not park in the building carpark.

Wood Play offers group and individual sessions that are enjoyable, inclusive and non-competitive. You will not be subject to loud machinery or be crowded by others building large projects. Wood Play Studio is space where you can come and play. Guided by experienced creators, you will play with wood, paint and other materials.
