Join us in our beautiful studio located in an old apple orchard for this beginner-friendly course to learn the art of creating ceramic works both on a pottery wheel.
This term consists of six classes run over 7 weeks, with a week off on the 6th week so we can fire your work for glazing.
In this term you will learn from start to finish of how to make a pottery piece including how to prepare clay, centre clay onto the wheel and throw a pottery piece, trim and finish your piece. In the last week you will get to glaze your own work with our selection of glazes and underglazes.
Pottery is an excellent way to relax, unwind and get creative! And by the end, you will have learnt essential wheel throwing skills and have the confidence to continue growing this relaxing hobby!
Students will be supplied with everything they need including all materials including clay, tools, glazes and firing costs.
Please note:
  • This class with need a minimum of three students to run.
  • Students must be at least 16 years of age
Knowledge required
Any levels welcome, beginners encouraged!

What to bring
While clay does wash out quite easily, we recommend wearing old clothes and shoes. You can also bring an apron and old towel if you like.
We can work with long nails, but if you have the option short is better :)
Session repeats

This class series runs over 6 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.

Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, team building activity, Christmas party or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 16 years old).

Adult accompaniment is not required.
