Wheel Throwing
In this unique clay workshop, you'll learn the basics of wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, creating your own beautiful ceramic homewares in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The workshop runs for 2.5 hours, split into two sessions where you'll get the opportunity to experience both wheel throwing and hand-building methods.
  • We'll divide the group in half, allowing for a more intimate and focused learning experience as you swap activities midway through the session.
  • Working with clay can be both therapeutic and exciting, allowing you to explore your artistic side and connect with the tactile nature of the medium.
  • By the end of the session, you'll not only have newfound skills in pottery-making but also a collection of handmade pieces to proudly display or gift to loved ones.
  • We include 3 pieces per person in the cost of the workshop, including the firing and glazing. Additional pieces can be fired and glazed at an extra cost.
  • The Klaypots team glaze the ceramics in the glaze you select at the session. The finished ceramics are available 4-6 weeks after the class.
  • All the finished ceramics are microwave-safe, food-safe and dishwasher-safe.
Join us for a hands-on and engaging activity that will leave you feeling accomplished and inspired by the wonderful world of pottery.

I am Karina and I am a ceramic artist, business owner and teacher based in Crows Nest on the upper north shore in Sydney. My passion for ceramics started out as a hobby in 2016 and over the last two years has really grown into a small business with a focus on handmade small batch ceramics and tailor-made events for clay lovers and learners.
I have a passion for teaching and making. I'm a very social person and I love meeting new people, teaching others how to create ceramics and explore clay, hosting events and collaborating with other businesses in fun and creative ways.
I hope that I can teach you to make something beautiful.
