Who doesn't love tea especially when it's a herbal blend with no calories and it's freezing cold out there?
If that sounds like you, join Vishakha to drink a cup of tea this winter evening in her breathtaking balcony with wide-open city views.
Vishakha will share her collection of organic loose leaf herbs sourced from registered Australian suppliers which you can smell and get a sense of as she explains each herb's properties. Some herbs are good for digestion, helping combat anxiety or depression, bringing in anti-bacterial properties, benefitting women's health, rich in Vitamin C and much more!
This hands-on herbal tea class will cover:
  • What is herbal tea?
  • How much is good enough?
  • Drink hot or cold?
  • Herbal teas for baths
  • Sweetening
  • Blending
  • Understand the properties of various herbs such as lemon balm, lavender, nettle, hops, sage, horny goat, calendula, chamomile etc
  • Touch, feel, smell, sense and taste various loose leaf herbal teas
While discussing each herb, you will be served the loose-leaf herbal tea of that particular herb. You are able to touch, feel, smell, sense and taste that herb as you are fully immersed in a sensory experience. This workshop will cover over a dozen of herbs so you will have a date with numerous herbs in one evening!
After tasting the herbal tea and understanding its health benefits, you will actually blend your favourite herbs together and make a blend of your choice to take home. Your teacher will share the recipes/ingredients for the following blends.
You may make one of the below or invent your own blend to personally suit you or your loved ones:

You will take home a jar of the herbal tea blend that you made in this workshop.
There will be additional jars and gift sets available (see add-ons with this listing), should you wish to take the loose-leaf sample teas or more choices of herbal blends with you!

I have always had that intuitive urge to 'create' something with a purpose: a new vegetarian recipe, a cake that would still be calorie-friendly, a soap that would nourish my skin with essential oils, a paining that would tell a story of my childhood, a candle that would smell divine?
By day, I'm fully immersed in the world of ICT (Information & Communications Technology), helping product teams develop outstanding software applications that enhance user experiences. But during my evenings and occasional weekends, I find immense joy in hosting craft workshop experiences at my charming apartment in Sydney or setting up a picnic for you to celebrate your special occasion in style with my cutie vintage retro caravan somewhere in the Kangaroo Valley or Blue Mountains :)
It's my way of pursuing my passions (thank God I found a way), do what I love (or else no point yea), exercise my entrepreneurial skills (or at least I would think so), stay emotionally healthy (this one is real), meet new people (when Sydney reportedly is world's 3rd worst city to forge new friendships), and do my bit of raising funds for Dementia and promoting mental health. For I believe the new luxuries are truly the experiences, freedom and health.
In my journey of hosting these unique experiences in Sydney together with my partner Bob, we have come across a range of creative people, many of whom discovered things to be a fun hobby and some who have taken it further and started selling stuff online.
