Are you ready to craft the cutest mugs this Valentine's season? Whether you're celebrating love with a special someone or just with your favourite cup of tea or coffee, this extended Valentine's edition of our Kawaii mug-making class is the perfect way to share a little love and creativity!
In this adorable workshop, you’ll learn how to hand-make and decorate your very own kawaii mugs using the fun and simple coil-building technique. The best part? You’ll be bringing your mug to life with the most lovable 3D designs, like:
  • Sweet little bows
  • Whimsical lollies
  • Dreamy clouds
  • Pretty hearts
  • Cute little bees...and so much more!
Make your mug a huggable masterpiece that feels as good to touch as they do to look at. Then, once your designs are all set, you’ll get to add bright, cheerful, kawaii-inspired underglaze colours—because every mug deserves to be as colourful as the love you’re celebrating!
Come with friends, your partner, or even on your own—we promise you'll leave with a heart full of joy and a mug that will brighten up every sip.
A Special Twist for Valentine’s Day: Express your love through creativity! Create a "Toi et Moi" (You and Me) mug set for you and your special someone, or go for a "Moi" mug to remind yourself that self-love is the sweetest love of all!
Your tutor is an experienced educator who keeps her classes small (a maximum of eight per class) so everyone gets the time and attention they deserve.
And the best part? After a tactile session of meditative making, you can head across the road (literally) to one of Marrickville’s most storied pubs - The Vic on the Park for dinner and a drink.
Grab your spot before it’s too late and create a piece of pottery that’s as cute as your love story!

Knowledge required
This is a beginner-friendly class accessible to people with no previous experience, and those who’ve dabbled before. Pick up some new skills and create something you’ll be proud of!
You must be at least 13 years old to attend this class (minors will need a paid accompanying adult).
What you'll get
  • Included in the price, we will clear glaze and fire your piece after class, ready for pick up from the studio in 3-4 weeks. It will be dishwasher and microwave-safe too!
  • A big ball of clay - more than enough to make a satisfyingly large mug.
  • Work with a full suite of clay tools, press moulds and underglazes - everything you need to make and decorate your Kawaii mug.
  • You’ll get to wear one of our gorgeous rust-coloured cotton drill aprons with soft linen straps.
Best of all, you will get addicted to a new ritual, the calming quality of clay!
What to bring
We could say ‘wear something easy to clean, or that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Covered shoes are ideal and think about keeping long hair out of the way’ but honestly all you need to bring is your radiant self - and maybe something for you
