What you'll do
So you’ve picked up your Uke and you can’t put it down? Maybe you’ve been to a Ukulele For Noobs session? So, what’s next?
Building on Tom’s Ukulele for Noobs, this session is designed to get you past those four chords and into playing the songs you want to. Tom will cover the magic of barre cords, easy ways to fancier strums, as well as chord shapes that take you to the dusty end of the fretboard. The session will also cover ukulele health, strings, action, straps etc, plus there’ll be time to cover all your Q&A’s about the hurdles you might have faced.You will need to have attended a Ukulele For Noobs session, or know how to play a C major, F major, G major and A minor chords and understand the postcode system for this class. Contact us for a short video on the postcode system, if needed.Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

Tom has been on the ukulele scene for years and believes that music is not a competition, but a game. A game everyone can play and everyone wins. He has delivered workshops to festival and groups all over the place, as well as teaching one to one in person and on-line.
Keeping busy leading workshops in schools and the community, performing in Samba Ninja and Ukulele-Oke, some stuff on TV and whatever sounds good. His record to date is teaching 1,140 people to drum in two cities in six days!

Work-Shop is a creative concept that will broaden your horizons and help you unleash your inner awesome. We provide affordable short courses in life skills and alternative art. We’ve teamed up with Australia’s brightest creative minds to share their knowledge and help teach you a new skill. From 3D printing and stencil art through to music and gardening – life skills and personal development through to cooking doughnuts and mushroom foraging, we offer a broad range of fun and creative short courses to suit our time poor lives. We will inspire you to pick up that pen, paintbrush, hammer or sewing machine and flick the switch that will kickstart a whole new way of life.Community values lie at the heart of our project. We collaborate with local artists and industry experts to teach classes and utilise local suppliers for any materials needed. We also provide a creative environment for emerging artists to produce and sell work, and meet like minded individuals. Work-Shop will be a space for everyone, with a rotating schedule of art shows, information nights on local issues and a whole range of events and community initiatives.
