Laughter is a powerful tool that has many benefits for holistic health and wellbeing. If you're looking for things to do at home that will improve your mood and your health, give this virtual experience a go.
Studies have shown that laughter creates real biochemical and physiological changes in the body.
Laughter reduces stress, boosts mood, improves the immune system, eases pain and enhances feelings of connection. This 90-minute online class allows you to explore and experience the benefits of laughter and positive energy for yourself, within the session.
This workshop involves:
  • An Introductory presentation about the power of laughter and positive energy for health and wellbeing.
  • A laughter workout, which alternates between rhythmic exercises, breathing exercises, affirming exercises and laughter exercises, designed to create positive energy.
  • A laughter meditation, which is an opportunity for free-flow laughter and can be a very powerful, cathartic experience.
  • A guided relaxation, to ground the energy of laughter and restore a sense of balance.
  • The heart lock-in technique, which enhances heart-brain coherence and feelings of harmony.
  • A wrap-up, where you may reflect upon the session and consider tools you may be able to put into practice, from now on.
You can expect to leave this laughter wellness experience feeling relaxed, energised, and positive. When we feel good, it has a positive impact on all aspects of our life.

Beginner-friendly class. You will receive all the knowledge you will need, to help you to get the most out of this experience.
 
What to bring
  • A phone or laptop as this workshop will be facilitated online through Zoom. The zoom room will open 10 minutes before the workshop start time, to allow group members to register, ready for a prompt start.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes that feel good to move around in.
  • You may like to start the session seated, then have plenty of room to transition between standing, seated and (optional) laying down exercises.
  • You may like to have a bottle of water handy.

Connie discovered the health benefits of laughter, after a prolonged period of work related stress, which impacted her ability to heal from an injury. She noticed the link between mind and body, stress levels and pain levels.
