This cooking class in Sydney is a self-contained introduction to everything that you want to know about getting started in Thai cooking! You will see, touch and select the fresh ingredients for the class. This is where the chef will tell you the specific details about Asian vegetables and spices, how to identify them and how to get the most out of them. The class then moves on to class examining the grocery items from a typical Asian supermarket so you can find out where everything is and what it all means the next time you go shopping. The chef will demonstrate the courses to be cooked and answers any questions you may have. You will then break into small groups to prepare the meal under the guidance of the chef. On the menu:

  • Refreshments on arrival
  • Starter: Dhom kha (chicken and coconut soup)
  • Main: Fish fillet with three flavoured sauce
  • Dessert: Coconut and mango tapioca
When all is ready, we sit down and eat at a large single set table. After completing this cooking class in Sydney,  you will have practical experience in food preparation, cooking and presentation. You will have the skills necessary to provide good food, inexpensively, with a minimum of effort. Importantly, you are also taught many of the short cuts that professional chefs use to produce great results quickly - a bonus for people on the go! Please note:
  • We operate with a maximum of 16 people per class and on the rare occasion where the minimum class number of 10 isn't reached, we will notify you at least three days prior with the chance to reschedule to a later date or participate in another of our classes.
  • Please advise of any special dietary requirements (we can cater to gluten-free or vegetarian but not vegan). This comes at no extra charge.
