I recently took a tea ceremony lesson in Japan, and even as someone Japanese, I was amazed at how much I still had to learn about this beautiful tradition. I gained valuable knowledge and had an incredible experience. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with my culture, and I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned with children in Australia through this workshop.

Hi I'm running a childcare service called ABC sitters. Embracing Japanese Culture in Sydney! Offering exciting workshops, unique parenting products& healthy treats for kids:)
I started ABC Sitters to support families and share Japanese culture through fun, interactive workshops. Growing up in Japan, I loved its traditions, and after moving to Australia, I wanted to bring those experiences to life for kids and parents. Teaching lets me share the joy of Japanese traditions while watching families connect and kids discover new skills. Seeing their excitement during activities like sushi-making or origami is the best reward.
My workshops go beyond fun crafts—they highlight mindfulness, patience, and the beauty of small joys. I also include authentic elements like traditional happi coats and hands-on chopstick practice, giving families an immersive cultural experience. And yes, I’ve hosted workshops for over two years at events like the Feast Multicultural Festival and community gatherings. Hundreds of kids and parents have joined, and the feedback has been amazing.
I’m a native of Japan and grew up with these traditions. I also hold a Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and am studying Early Childhood Education to better serve families. I also have WWCC and First Aid.
