Are you looking for a new creative project that will get you outside of your comfort zone and trying something new? Why not try out this glass art workshop in Sydney and learn the skills to craft your own stained glass leadlight windows!
In this hands-on course, you will learn how to construct your own leaded panel while you learn the elements of the craft such as glass cutting, leading, soldering and finishing your piece by cementing and polishing your panel.
You will design your own work and can draw on plenty of inspiration from a walk through your neighbourhood and looking at existing designs online. If you wish to learn more you can enrol again and learn how to undertake more complex designs on a larger scale!
Your tutor has 20 years of experience within the field and is excited to pass on her skills and knowledge to you.
Course outline:
  • Week one: Learn how to cut glass and build a small practice panel with glass and lead provided.
  • Week two to week eight: Discuss concept design and draw full size, cut and build your panel and cement and polish your panel.
