What you'll do
Join us for an immersive silversmithing experience in this ultimate beginner class in Sydney. Tap into your creative side and make your own pair of sterling silver earrings. Working with a sterling silver sheet, you'll learn how to cut your shapes using a jeweller's saw. Refine your edges with precision using metal files and emery paper before delving into the world of texture, choosing from options like matte, shiny, hammered or domed finishes.Each participant will receive a piece of sterling silver in sheet form, enough to make a pair of earrings around the same size as our listing photos. Additional silver can be purchased to accommodate larger shapes if you like statement earrings.Finally, you'll learn how to drill the metal to create holes for attaching ear hooks.This class will run for two hours, where the duration will depend on the complexity of your design and options you choose during the class. We will have complimentary water, tea, coffee, chips and cookies for you on the day.Please note: This class is for adults only. Under 18s will not be able to enter the venue, this includes babies.

Our story began in 2018 in a small Redfern studio. With only one desk and one sewing machine, our first class was published and we haven't looked back. Our passion for the arts coupled with bringing people together, brought our vision of launching a creative hub to life. In our modern world, everything moves quickly, we have adapted to a fast-paced environment and sometimes it can be hard to slow ourselves down. Sydney Creative is a place for people to relax, regroup and find a creative outlet that will hopefully aid in bringing people a sense of achievement, fulfilment and joy. Today, our classes run from our own venue in Redfern. We run lots of different creative classes from Sewing to Jewellery, painting and lots more, we love following the trends and developing new classes for our customers to enjoy.
