Mindful Activities

Get a rush with the brush! In this full-day Sign-painting workshop you’ll experience an action-packed day with one of the most interesting artists on the scene, Gaston The Painter. Gain a comprehensive insight into the craft, learning the knowledge and skills essential to the art form. Not to mention a bunch of design and lettering tips along the way.

After a quick introduction covering the aims and challenges of sign-painting, Gaston will get straight into the nitty-gritty. Covering transfer techniques, paint mixing and colour palette, brush care, manipulation and strokes, as well as an introduction to casual, block, and script styles you’ll have all the essentials down pat. You’ll then move on to creating your own custom design, planning the layout, sketching, and transferring, before putting all the skills you’ve learned into action, painting your one-of-a-kind creation.

Perfect for beginners or those wanting to brush up (pun intended) on their skills, you’ll leave this workshop with the confidence and know-how to continue practicing at home or at work. All materials are provided and we’ll top off the day with a couple of beers while we debrief!

Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class

Please note: This venue is located on the first floor via a flight of stairs and does not have wheelchair accessibility.
