Elevate your sewing skills and create a lovely sleeveless dress.Choose from two lengths---midi or ankle length! This sewing course is designed for those who are ready to take on a new sewing challenge after our Sewing For Beginners and Introduction To Garment Making classes. If you're wanting to take your sewing to the next level, this class will get you there. Over the two sessions, you will learn the following skills:
- Cutting a commercial pattern
- Cutting pattern pieces on the fold
- Grainline alignment
- Cutting fabric with a rotary cutter
- Aligning notches
- Sewing darts
- Sewing shoulder seams
- Sewing a neckline and armholes
- Sewing a double bodice
- Overlocking

Our story began in 2018 in a small Redfern studio. With only one desk and one sewing machine, our first class was published and we haven't looked back. Our passion for the arts coupled with bringing people together, brought our vision of launching a creative hub to life. In our modern world, everything moves quickly, we have adapted to a fast-paced environment and sometimes it can be hard to slow ourselves down. Sydney Creative is a place for people to relax, regroup and find a creative outlet that will hopefully aid in bringing people a sense of achievement, fulfilment and joy. Today, our classes run from our own venue in Redfern. We run lots of different creative classes from Sewing to Jewellery, painting and lots more, we love following the trends and developing new classes for our customers to enjoy.
