What you'll do
Learn how to make your own candles using C3 Soy Wax, the wax used by professional makers. This workshop will take you through the basics of making your own candles, an introduction to tools and materials, teaching you pouring techniques, and how to create scented candles.You will make three different sized candles to take home! A glass vessel candle, a travel tin candle and a tea light candle, to learn about creating candles in different sizes and in different containers. All tools, materials and equipment will be provided in our small-sized class. Occasionally during hot and humid weather, the candles may not dry in time to take home after the workshop. In this case, you can come back and pick the candles up another time to ensure you have perfect candles!This is an intensive workshop aimed at beginners, aged 16 and above. You will be working with hot wax, so while attending the workshop, it is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain and adhere to all safety precautions and requirements during the workshop.

She wants to combine her love for polymer clay, resin, candle making and previous training experience to bring you a practical, hands-on workshop that will get you excited to continue creating at home!

Sew Make Create is a creative workshop for small, intimate classes to teach new skills. Come discover a new hobby and learn from our Teachers who are passionate about their craft. Classes teach a range of skills that are related to design, art and craft. We are also an open workshop space and drop-in sewing studio for Designers, Artists, Makers and Creatives. Our workshop is located on the edge of the city in Chippendale.
