Join Chef Almay Jordaan from Brunswick’s “Old Palm Liquor” restaurant for a Melbourne cooking class inspired by the tastes of South Africa and Mozambique. This is a beginner-friendly cooking class guided by an experienced chef so don't worry if you're a newbie to the kitchen.
First you will be served Hibiscus & ginger before moving onto a tart mango & herb salad with biltong floss.
Then Almay will demonstrate Peri peri chicken with a spinach with coconut & korerima
She will of course also share an “Old Palm Liquor” favourite: flatbread with labneh and sumac.
At the end of the class, you will have the chance to sit down and eat all the delicious South African inspired dishes that were created.

Chef Tracey is a classically trained chef who after many years of working at senior level in the vibrant Melbourne restaurant scene moved to Hanoi to immerse herself in Vietnamese and Asian cuisine. She helped establish KOTO, a grass-roots charity that helps street kids to free themselves from the cycle of poverty through hospitality training.
In April 2008 she opened the Hanoi Cooking Centre, voted one of the best cooking schools in the world by Leisure & Travel magazine.
Now back in her old stamping ground of Brunswick, Tracey looks forward to sharing her love of good food through her cooking classes for keen home cooks, professionals, corporates, kids and teens.
And if you don’t have time to cook call in at Brunswick Kitchen for a chat and a take-home meal.
