Unleash your inner artist at this hands-on resin art class in Sydney and learn how to make a stunning 3D resin table using miniature figurines - the perfect item to talk about when you have friends over for coffee!
The resin that you will be using in the class is Art Resin which is the right fit for the purpose - the highest quality, non-toxic, no VOC, doesn't turn yellow and most importantly food grade. So the resin coffee table that you will be making in the class will be ready to be used as a food serving table top board straightaway when next you have friends over. Oh yes, you also got something ready to talk about and flaunt your creativity!
Friendly expert Vishakha will guide you through the journey of making your own resin table and show you the step-by-step process of how to work with different materials to create your resin masterpiece.
You will be able to choose from your teacher's wide range of high-quality mica colours that you would like to use in your artwork. Lose yourself in the creative process and use different figurines to make your sandy beach table even more unique!
In this workshop you will be guided by an experienced instructor on:
1. How to work with resin safely
2. What bases to work on: canvas, wood, plywood, tiles, glass, silicon
3. How much is the right amount (no less no more) of Resin to cover up your base
4. Get your base surface ready for resin
5. Coloring and Mixing
6. Pouring (Direct vs Dirty Pour)
7. Tips on how to use a hair dryer, heat gun and torch
8. How to get the best-looking ocean waves
9. Working with Miniature Figurines
10. Curing
Whether you want to try something new or find gift experiences for keen creatives, this resin art workshop in Sydney will leave you feeling fulfilled and confident in your newfound skillset!
Please note:
  • The workshop won't be suitable for pregnant women.
  • The workshop won't be suitable for children under the age of 16 and they need be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Usually, the process of making a 3D resin art prolongs over a couple of days as the second layer of clear resin can only be poured after a minimum of 24 hours to give a 3D effect. After the class on the next day, your instructor will assist with completing the last layer for you. The artwork will require a minimum of 24 hours to set from that point and cure so that it's firm and ready; hence you will need to come back to pick it up later within two weeks.

I have always had that intuitive urge to 'create' something with a purpose: a new vegetarian recipe, a cake that would still be calorie-friendly, a soap that would nourish my skin with essential oils, a paining that would tell a story of my childhood, a candle that would smell divine?
By day, I'm fully immersed in the world of ICT (Information & Communications Technology), helping product teams develop outstanding software applications that enhance user experiences. On occasional weekends or during my moonlight hours, I find immense joy in hosting craft workshop experiences at my charming apartment in Sydney or setting up a retreat for you to connect with yourselves or your loved ones over a craft therapy with my cutie vintage retro caravan somewhere in the Kangaroo Valley or Blue Mountains :)
It's my way of pursuing my passions (thank God I found a way), do what I love (or else no point yea), exercise my entrepreneurial skills (or at least I would think so), stay emotionally healthy (this one is real), meet new people (when Sydney reportedly is world's 3rd worst city to forge new friendships), and do my bit of raising funds for Dementia and promoting mental health. For I believe the new luxuries are truly the experiences, freedom and health.
In my journey of hosting these unique experiences in Sydney together with my partner Bob, we have come across a range of creative people, many of whom discovered things to be a fun hobby and some who have taken it further and started selling stuff online.
Our pursuit of the little joys of life continues as we eagerly anticipate sharing these experiences with you!
