Are you interested in learning how to weave but aren't sure where to start? In this Central Coast workshop, you can learn how to make your very own Raffia basket using classic coil weaving techniques.
Join Heather at her Pretty Beach studio and learn the coil weaving technique using Raffia sourced from Madagascar. Raffia has been used in weaving for centuries throughout Europe and Africa, mixed with other fibres like wool, jute, and cotton. When weaving with fibre, texture and colour amazing things are made, which are completely unique to the weaver.
You will be amazed at the different styles and shapes, colours and textures that you will create in this relaxing class. Enjoy refreshments and a cheese platter as you breathe in the calming sea air from Pretty Beach.
