Experience the magic of creating unique ceramic pieces with our wheel throwing class in Melbourne. From the moment you step into our workshop, you'll feel the excitement and anticipation of learning a new skill.
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of wheel throwing from our friendly teacher to create your unique ceramic piece.
Throughout the entire ceramic course, the teacher will accompany and guide you to create works you love. The teacher will encourage hands-on experience, and at crucial moments, assistance will be provided. So, there's no need to worry – you will definitely have completed pieces by the end of this pottery course.
Learning how to throw pottery on a wheel can be an incredibly rewarding experience and there's something truly special about taking home something beautiful that was created by your own hands.
With our expert guidance throughout this activity, anyone can learn how to throw pottery like a pro!
Please note:
  • Ceramics will be ready for pick-up two to four weeks after your class.
  • This workshop doesn't include glazing. If you would like a glaze, please contact us for a second class.
  • Extra clays and extra pieces for fired can be purchased.

Our classes are cozy and fill up fast! We understand life can be unpredictable. To help everyone have a great experience, please note our cancellation and rescheduling policies:
To reschedule, please do so at least 3 days before your class begins. Late rescheduling (within 3 days before your class begins) will result in no refund.
For cancellations, a full refund is available if you cancel at least 3 days before your class starts. Late cancellations will result in no refund.
Pick-up Reminder:
Please remember to pick up your creations within 4 months after the course. Any unclaimed pieces after this period will be donated to charity.

What you'll get

  • One masterpiece (with no decorations and glaze) to collect after four to six weeks.
What to bring
  • Wear comfortable, casual clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
  • If you can, please keep nails short. Long nails are not conducive with pottery wheel throwing.
  • Rings and bracelets will need to be removed.
  • Long hair tied back is recommended.

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

Our venue is a short 200-metre walk from the Ayr St/Middleborough Rd bus station. Free parking is available at Spotlight Box Hill, just 40 metres away. Please avoid parking at Parkview, 29-31 Clarice Road, as it will be closed. Use the Spotlight parking lot or park on the roadside instead. Thank you for your understanding!
