What you'll do
Join us at our studio in Redfern for this private one-on-one class where you'll learn how to draft your own pattern by using a garment you already own as a template.This class is suitable for those who have been to our Sewing For Beginners and Introduction To Garment making classes, or if you've developed your skills elsewhere you should have made at least one garment from a commercial pattern in the last 6 months to take part in this session. How it works:
- You book your initial class which is three hours long. This class will focus on drafting the pattern.
- If you would like to return for another session, you may book this at the end of your first class.
- Continue your classes until your pattern is finished and if you'd like, we can guide you through the process of sewing the garment too.
- Depending on the complexity of your garment, further sessions may be required to complete the pattern.
- Learn how to draft a pattern using your garment as a template
- Make adjustments to the pattern, such as adding pockets
- Flexibility of a one-on-one class, ask as many questions as you'd like
Knowledge required
No previous knowledge is required. Perfect for beginners.

Your teacher
Our story began in 2018 in a small Redfern studio. With only one desk and one sewing machine, our first class was published and we haven't looked back. Our passion for the arts coupled with bringing people together, brought our vision of launching a creative hub to life. In our modern world, everything moves quickly, we have adapted to a fast-paced environment and sometimes it can be hard to slow ourselves down. Sydney Creative is a place for people to relax, regroup and find a creative outlet that will hopefully aid in bringing people a sense of achievement, fulfilment and joy. Today, our classes run from our own venue in Redfern. We run lots of different creative classes from Sewing to Jewellery, painting and lots more, we love following the trends and developing new classes for our customers to enjoy.
