Whether you are a complete novice or have some previous experience, this course will provide a solid foundation in the basics of clay work.
Throughout the course, students will be taught the necessary skills for hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab construction, as well as wheel throwing. Basic decoration and glazing techniques will also be covered. Additionally, students will learn about the properties of clay, firing, and glazing.
No prior experience is necessary, but students should be prepared to get their hands dirty and be willing to experiment and have fun with clay. Come join us for a creative and rewarding experience!
Please Note
For the Pottery for Beginners course, there is a gap between session 2 and session 3 to allow enough time for drying and firing your works.

What to bring
Equipment and firing costs are included. Clay is available to purchase from the tutor for approximately $20.
