Melbourne-based and Kiwi-born, designer and maker Sheree McCready is the brains and hands behind Polly Collective. After moving from NZ to Melbourne, Sheree sought an escape from a career in professional photography and discovered polymer clay. Cue months of research, lots of trial and error, and some truly gnarly creations. Sheree had finally found her niche. She now makes contemporary jewellery and sculpted art under Polly Collective, and is enthusiastic about sharing her zeal for polymer clay craft and its evolution in skills workshops. Sheree’s pieces use a mishmash of squiggles and dots to emphasise the simple shapes and bold colourways of her contemporary style. Her honest, down-to-earth and passionate presentation style will have you just as obsessed with polymer clay as she is.
