What you'll do

This fun workshop will be the perfect opportunity to get your creative juices flowing and design and make something truly unique for Mum, Grandma, Aunty (and yourself!).

You will be learning to use the Mokume Gane technique - an incredibly effective, fun way of using colours, shapes, patterns, and imagination to create a beautiful design with polymer clay.

Pick three to four colours and learn how to condition your clay.
Your instructor will demonstrate several techniques to get the creative juices flowing.
Mindfully create! Build up your design with support from your instructor.
Select some shape cutters (they’re just like cookie cutters!).
Cut out your polymer pieces!
Choose your findings and learn how to assemble your finished pieces while the polymer bakes for 20-25 mins.
Sand and assemble your baked pieces and wear them home!
Get some ideas on using your scrap clay – you can cut out another set of shapes to take home to bake and assemble.

This fun workshop is for kids 8+ years and adults! Especially fun as a 'Mum & Me' bit of bonding time for Mother's Day, some 'me' time, or bring a friend for some laughs. Dad's and Grandparents welcome!

As this is a more involved polymer clay technique, kids under 12 MUST be accompanied by a paying adult.

After the session attendees will have the opportunity to browse the materials and tools available to purchase and take home to continue the creative making experience at home.

Knowledge required

This technique is suitable for beginners aged 8+ who have a creative disposition and can follow instructions. Note that this technique requires the use of very sharp tools/blades. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What you'll get

Every attendee will receive the instruction and creative freedom to create and complete 2-3 jewellery items, including all materials, tools, and jewellery findings. Note that additional jewellery findings are available to purchase for additional items or to take home.
