Let’s talk comfort food! In the depths of the wintery cold season, we all turn to those old favourite comfort meals. There is something unique about these dishes for us, they speak to the soul, like a hug from the inside out. They nod to the nostalgic, the inner child in us that felt so much better after a serve of Nonna’s famous lasagne or Mum’s spaghetti carbonara.
But the very nature of comfort food means, although it's good for the soul, it’s not exactly all good for our health. In this class, you will discover comfort food that nourishes both your soul and your body, that leaves you feeling great after the initial first bite of nostalgia and that you can confidently cook every night.
In this class, you’ll learn how to turn your favourite cheesy, carb-loaded food dreams plant-based, fibre-filled and still, completely heavenly. This is a fantastic class full of re-imagined dishes, incredible flavours and clever little tricks to take your dishes to new heights of flavour, all using health-promoting plants!
What you'll cook during the class:
  • Cheesy vegan skillet lasagne
  • Shepherdless pie
  • Buttery butter “chicken”
  • Choc chip skillet cookie with a twist
These comfort meals are satisfying, soul-comforting, filling and most importantly, healthy enough to turn to every night while the weather is cold and the slippers are on. At the end of the class, everyone will gather around the table to eat these warm dishes and feel the comfort envelop them immediately!

Steph is only running private cooking classes at this time, either two or three hours in duration. This menu reflects a two-hour class however an extended menu is available for a three-hour class (see corresponding three-hour class listing for the entire menu).
