Paper Quilling Card Class

Learn how to make a greeting card decorated with paper quilling flowers

1.5 hours

Class size 1 to 6 (public classes), 4 to 12

$55 (Afterpay available)

Paper quilling had its heyday in England during the 18th century. In addition to embroidery, quilling was considered a “proper pastime” for young women and was taught in boarding schools, as well as to “ladies of leisure” because it was seen as not too “taxing” for them.
Learn paper quilling, using long thin strips of paper, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes, and gluing the shapes together to form decorative art. Known for being able to express fancy floral patterns and flourishes, paper quilling projects can be used to decorate greeting cards.
This class could be the perfect activity to learn new skills and make your own greeting cards with a group of friends or family.
Untap your creative potential by creating art that comes out to the surface and return home with your completed creations!
