Paint Your Mate Portrait Workshop

No art experience is needed! We pre-sketch your Photo!Paint your friend, a work colleague, a family member, or even your favourite celebrity at this fun Melbourne workshop! You can bring your chosen loved one along and bond together as you paint each other or surprise them later with your masterpiece you take home all about them.This workshop is designed for all levels of painters, including beginners. Our experienced teachers will help you to get on your way with your painting. You will need to email us a photo of your chosen loved one after booking your seat and our artist will pre-sketch it for you before you arrive.*In this workshop, you are free to paint in your own style! Realism is not the only way to paint a portrait. If you prefer to paint abstract, expressionism, or cubism this is encouraged.At the end of the fun and relaxing workshop, you will take home your masterpiece. • From the shoulders up (only portrait).
• Light and clear, no blurring.

• If the Government requires our studios to remain closed at the time of your session, we will issue you a credit voucher valid for three years.
• Suppose the Government requires us to reduce the capacity of our studios. In that case, we will issue you a credit voucher (full value of your order) or reschedule your booking to another session of your choice (subject to availability and capacity).

• Studio 1 can accommodate a maximum of 19 guests.
• Studio 2 can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests.
• At the same time, we can accommodate up to 33 participants in Studio1 and Studio2 with two instructors.

When the two studios are booked for the same event, we offer our Gallery3 (in the middle of the two studios), depending on space availability, and 30 min extra time for free, so G3 could potentially be used for serving drinks and refreshments. The minimum number required for a private party is as follows:

• Friday evenings and anytime on Saturday and Sunday, Studio1: 15 guests
• Friday evenings and anytime on Saturday and Sunday, Studio2: 10 guests
• All other times, Studio1: 10 guests
• All other times, Studio2: 8 guests
• All times, Studio1 & Studio2: 25 guests
• All times, Paint Your Pet|Portrait: 10 guests
• All times, off-site: 15 guests

*If the minimum is not met, the difference between the minimum and the number of guests attending must be paid before the party can take place.***An additional travel fee of $295 applies for an offsite venue (for locations within 20km of Ladder Art Space). This fee pays for our tolls, artist travel time and set-up/clean-up time at the offsite venue. We assume we can access a free car park during the workshop, as we must bring the painting materials. Please let us know if there isn't any available car park space.
