From greeting cards to fancy folded napkins and origami, you never know when having a few folding skills up your sleeve can come in handy. So come along and learn the art of origami so you can send that cutie in your neighbourhood a handmade rose!

This beginner-friendly class will teach you how to use paper in all of its three-dimensional potentials. Cut, fold and fan your way, one page a time!
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn a variety of techniques and for Kirigami, origami and modular origami. We’ll go through each step by step making a bunch of creations as well as a piece of origami jewellery.
You'll leave with your unique origami creations and origami jewellery, as well as the inspiration to continue folding beautiful origami creations at home!
Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

Please note: This venue is located on the first floor via a flight of stairs and does not have wheelchair accessibility.

Michelle (Mitch) Lackenby is qualified and lectures in the areas of Advertising, Graphic Design/Art and Photography and has always been obsessed with pushing the boundaries of art and design within the realm of paper and bookbinding. She has over 20 years of industry experience in creative fields which lead to the opening of her own business specialising in artist services, design and workshops. As the creative Director of Paperazzi Design studio, Mitch oversees the branding, photoshoots, art/design direction for the business. Mitch is also the resident Paper Artist for Paperazzi Design Studio where she collaborates with other artists and is currently working on the prototypes for their new product range, as well as teaching at various tertiary institutions in Melbourne.

Work-Shop will be a space for everyone, with a rotating schedule of art shows, information nights on local issues and a whole range of events and community initiatives.
