Create your own organic precious metal bangle in this two and a half hour workshop in Kyneton.
In this class, Sarah will walk you through all of the techniques that you need to create a sterling silver bangle including sizing, soldering, filing, texturing, shaping and polishing so that you can go home with a beautiful piece you will treasure for years to come.
Sarah will cover different designs and styles as well as how to mix metals to create a truly one-of-a-kind beautiful bangle that fits perfectly!
Bangles created in this class are made of sterling silver, copper and brass. There is no allowance to add gemstones or other materials due to the time constraint.
Each workshop has only five participants to ensure that Sarah can help everyone to create their own unique design rather than a class design.

Sarah Munnings was working in the corporate world of finance and when she was struck down by a devastating mystery illness. Tests, more tests, and months of trips to doctors led to the diagnoses of Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). This led to Sarah to rediscover her creativity as her own personal form of rehabilitation and become a self-taught jeweller who developed a table top jewellery practice in her kitchen.

She now teaches others the amazing creations that can be made using copper, silver and brass. She uses traditional techniques of forging, soldering and texturing metal, and is passionate about using tools that are easily accessible so that her guests at workshops can continue their journey of discovery at home.

The Old Auction House is an independently run multi-use arts precinct located in the regional Victorian town of Kyneton, just an hour north of Melbourne. Housed in a historic weatherboard building, which served as the much loved Ferris auction rooms for over 80 years, the precinct opened in April 2017 and is home to a variety of artistic spaces.
The Old Auction House is currently home to a retail shop specialising in quality Australian handmade items, four working artist studios including local glass artists Leadlight By Ettore, a teaching space for visiting artists, and two gallery spaces with rotating exhibitions.
The Old Auction House is open 7 days and the entire space has been renovated to be accessible for those with prams, wheelchairs, and mobility issues.
The Old Auction House has a focus on community engagement in the arts. Each studio runs a variety of classes with different artists and materials throughout the year.
