Looking for unique things to do in Sydney? Explore the art of Nerikomi pottery decoration with Silky Shapes in Crows Nest and learn how to make something beautiful!
Nerikomi is a decorative process established in Japan, which involves arranging coloured clay in a block and then slicing through the cross-section to reveal a pattern. These slices are used to create beautiful ceramics.
During the class, you'll receive step-by-step demonstrations and instructions to make your own Nerikomi decorations and will gain confidence with this fun medium!
You will be able to finish two or three pieces, such as plates and bowls. Everything made in this class will be bisque fired, glazed, and glaze fired for you by the studio and ready for pick up in two to three weeks.
