We all start the year with the best of intentions!
This workshop is a little different, as it will start with a gentle relaxation and grounding before we move into the workshop.
Each participant will be asked to write a small list of intentions for themselves on a piece of paper (this is private to you and you will not be asked to share).
This can be something as simple as,
I want to try and learn watercolour, or even just be kinder to yourself
You will be given about 15 minutes to complete this exercise.
We will carefully light our beautiful handmade soy candle, being careful to keep our match!
This signifies our positive energy as we move into 2025!
Using our match, we will make a mould and make a copy using metal clay.
You will be guided through the whole process by your teacher.
You will learn how to work with metal clay and prepare the piece for firing.
Your pendant will then be taken away to be fired and finished.
Step into 2025 with a reminder to yourself of all the wonderful things that can happen!
And start with the best of intentions! (because let’s face it we are all wildly optimistic at the start of a new year!)

I've lived in the Beautiful Dandenong Ranges for nearly 20 years, there has always been a free artistic spirit in the hills, and I really wanted to create a space that could foster that and share it with the wider community.
I am one of those 'lots of fingers, in lots of pies' type of person! and have loved the journey of learning many skills over my 25+ years as an artist. Hence why the workshop offers a variety of fun skills to try.
In Metal clay jewellery making you will learn about the various types of clay and metals, and techniques to create unique one of a kind pieces with semi precious stones.
you will be taken through the process from raw clay, firing, and polishing and finishing.
The printmaking workshops are such a great way to have a girl date or spend a Saturday arvo creating contemporary images which you will be so in love with you will want to frame and hang.
I am also in the process of developing a stained glass/fused glass sun catcher workshop... so watch this space!
I really want to offer classes which will arm my students with the knowledge to be able to take this new skill and be able to create at home with limited materials.
I have been running my OOAK online art business but really miss the face to face interaction with students.
I hold a BA Degree in Textile Art from Winchester school of Art, UK, and I have also studied at MICA college, USA, and am currently about to undertake my certification in Arts Therapy.
