What you'll do
Our small, friendly and relaxed mentored life drawing sessions in Adelaide are suitable for artists at all experience levels.In our mentored sessions, you will draw the figure using the materials and techniques of your choice, with a mentor available to support you in achieving your creative goals. Perfect for beginners, your mentor will lead a range of fun and informative drawing exercises and offer technical advice, feedback and comments over the course of the session.By the end of the class, you can take home your unique artwork, as well as some new drawing skills!

Knowledge required
No prior drawing or life drawing experience required! This is a fun and experimental class to spark your creativity.
What you'll get
- We have professional life models at every session and the model fee is included in the price. We start each session with a series of short warm-up poses, progressing to longer poses.
- We provide easels, backboards, personal art tables and chairs/stools.
What to bring
- An apron (just a kitchen one is fine) and/or wear old, comfortable clothes.
- We will maintain a warm indoor temperature for the models so wear layers if it is cold outside.
- Your favourite drawing materials. If this is your first time trying life drawing, we can supply some basic materials to get you started.
- Lunch to enjoy in our 30-minute break at around 12:45pm (we have a fridge for guest use).
- *If you use oil paints, please only bring odourless solvents.*

Hi, I'm Catherine!Cerulean Studio opened in 2021 in time for the South Australian Living Artist (SALA) festival that year. We offer a warm, friendly and welcoming environment where people's creativity can flourish. We host regular life drawing sessions and a range of classes and workshops. Cerulean Studio also travels to the country, and we offer longer retreats and memorable artistic and cultural experiences overseas. We showcase student and tutor works during the SALA festival most years.
