What you'll do
Step into a mindful hand building class in Adelaide and learn how to use nature in your pottery!This hands-on pottery class invites you to craft your very own unique coffee cups and saucers by imprinting the delicate veins of garden plants—flowers, branches, and leaves—onto clay. Through a combination of rolling techniques and underglaze painting, you'll bring your botanical designs to life on functional pieces of art.Perfect for both beginners and experienced potters, this workshop will guide you through each step of the process, from selecting and pressing plants onto clay slabs to shaping your cups and saucers and finally adding the finishing touches with vibrant underglaze colours. The final pieces will be fired at a high temperature of 1280°C, making it dishwasher safe, food safe and microwave safe. After a few weeks, you'll get to collect it from the studio and use your very own cup and saucer set at home!
