Class size 1 to 30 (public classes), 10 to 15

$159 (Afterpay available)

Looking for a relaxing activity in Melbourne? Join this beginner soap making class. Held at our Mornington venue, or we travel to you. You'll learn the basics of melt-and-pour soap making and have the opportunity to create your very own unique soaps.
All equipment and ingredients are provided for you, and rest assured that all materials used are vegan, phthalate-free, and palm oil-free.
Perfect for beginners, this class is all about embracing the creative process and learning from any "mistakes" along the way. Equipped with the basic understanding of how melt and pour works, your final products will evolve and develop further over time.
Handmade soap may not be perfect by nature, but it's imbued with the special essence of the maker. This class offers you a truly unique experience where you learn by doing the process of cut, melt, design, pour compared to watching a tutorial online.
You'll learn essential techniques such as how to melt your soap in the microwave and on a double boiler without burning it; moulding, and colouring your soap.
You'll also discover how much fragrance oil to safely add and and how to incorporate additives like herbs, spices and botanicals. Additionally, you'll explore techniques like using embeds and layering soap.
This hands-on class is not only a fantastic way to unwind but also a great opportunity to bond with a friend. Bring someone along and enjoy a memorable experience together.
By the end of the class, you'll have gained valuable skills and knowledge in melt and pour soap making, and you'll take home your very own handmade soaps.

About your instructor
In 2009, I taught myself to make soy candles at home, and later also became a soap maker. Soon after, I established a successful bath, body and home fragrance brand from my small kitchen, and my creations were featured regularly in national magazines and newspapers. My products were stocked Australia-wide, sold in boutiques and chain stores around Australia, and I exported to Hong Kong and the U.S.A. After taking a break to have my kids, I returned to pass this knowledge on to others through workshops and supplies.
