Learn how landscapes can potentially tell a story, take us on an emotional journey or spark a memory.
Learn about the art of capturing pictures of nature and the outdoors in a way that brings your viewer into the scene at this photography workshop in La Perouse. Demonstrate your connection to nature and the world around you when you take the shot that means something to you.
Landscape photography is all about capturing an image that embodies the spirit of the outdoors. It carries a sense of being there to see something incredible. There are no hard and fast rules---landscape photography means something different to every photographer, which is a good thing---this is what drives us forward and helps our photos improve.
If you want to learn about taking beautiful landscape pictures, this is the place to start.
What's covered:
  • Explore composition and design elements
  • Learn about the importance of the subject
  • Isolate subjects in the foreground, middle ground, and background
  • Learn about light and shadow
  • Talk about lens options and perspective
  • Experiment with camera settings and focus points
  • Inspire creativity with bracketing, stacking, and ICM
  • Learn about different apps to make your landscape photos stand out
  • Demonstrate essential landscape equipment
  • How to prepare for a shoot
Knowledge required
Beginners are welcome but you need to have an understanding of your exposure triangle and camera controls. This is not a basic "learn how to use your camera" workshop. For this, we suggest participating in our Camera Essentials or Mastering Manual workshop. Once you feel confident with your camera, you will really enjoy any of our creative workshops.

What you'll get
Four hours of guidance and tuition covering landscape photography fundamentals.
