Qualified as a Piano Teacher, Art Therapist and Holistic Counsellor, armed with years of success selling many paintings, and extensively experienced as both a piano teacher and art tutor, you've got a Facilitator who is reportedly "gentle, patient and creative".
I've been focusing more on my Art Path since COVID, and having moved to this gorgeous township of Tecoma on the outskirts of Melbourne in June 2023, adjacent to Sherbrooke Forest, I have now launched into a fairytale chapter of my life where I can really thrive in terms of creativity, with a terrific art studio space downstairs, and an awesome music room upstairs - dream on!
The venue where you'll be participating in the workshops beats any other venue I've taught from. Set amidst Edna Walling inspired gardens and close to Sherbrooke forest, it is a Musician or Artist's dream-space.
In all of my paintings, you can be assured of finding joy or whimsy, if not just a simple appreciation for and celebration of the beauty around me, as well as the small humble scenes of a normal domestic life. I try to capture everything on canvas using mostly acrylic paint and like to also explore other art mediums. I’m often transforming junk into art. For example, you’ll see an array of tap ware hung strategically on my woven wire fence; you’ll find a wire and junk sculpture of a cat on my front fence and paper mache cats here and there throughout the garden. It’s all about having fun and never losing the Inner Child within all of us.
As for music making, the acoustics in the music room are terrific, with views of Sherbrooke Forest from the enormous windows. There is plenty of space and an excellent, recently-tuned Yamaha piano.
Always endeavouring to make the world a more beautiful place to be, through Art, Music and Gardening.
