Fall in love with Sydney's multicultural Inner West, on this bite-seeing walking tour through its coolest and most eclectic neighbourhood, Marrickville.
Itinerary
1. We’ll start at an iconic family-run deli for a coffee (or an iced cafe crema) and tasting of the house-made cheeses along with Australian olives and meats (kangaroo salami... yum!).
2. Next, it's another Sydney icon our most famous Banh Mi (Vietnamese pork roll).
We’ll wash down that deliciousness with a beer from a local brewery. We think a sour matches best, but you may be a hop head and need an IPA or possibly you are in love with the darkness of a porter. No judgement, all beer is good beer.
3. Following the refreshment, we’ve got some Aussie classics from our mate’s bakery for you to ‘wrap your laughing gear around’ (that’s an old Aussie term for eating).
4. Once you’ve filled up on your Aussie ‘tucker’ (food) quota, we’ll drop by another small cheese producer for a snack before the sweet sweet finish!
5. The dessert finale to the Marrickville Munch is at our favourite 'serial chillers’ headquarters. We may get to see what they are up to through the factory windows while we ‘get stuck into’ their house made gelato and crazy chocolate creations.
Guests can choose the optional extra of a city pick up, or take a 10 minute ride on Sydney’s Metro to Sydenham. Please select a 10:15 time slot if choosing the pick up option.
City Pick Up and Drop Off (additional charge) -- choose either of two pick-ups at the checkout:
  • Circular Quay 10:15am -- The Obelisk, Macquarie Place Park, Cnr Bridge & Loftus St
  • Central 10:30am -- Keg & Brew Hotel, 26 Foveaux St, Surry Hills

“At Dave’s, we’re all about showing you local as we love it all; food, drinks, history, and culture. Come explore with us on tour!”
Our philosophy is simple – collaboration. We love bringing people together to taste and experience the craftsmanship of our local producers.
Whether that is on a behind the scenes brewery tour, a walk back in time through our pub culture on a pub walk, or a corporate event – everything we do is about connecting more people to local communities.
In doing so, we are supporting the passions and dreams of those who are bringing to market some of the finest products available and making visitors aware of the toil and strife that goes into producing great drinks and food.
To us, it’s more than the art and science. It’s the stories, the legends, the scars of effort and devotion to doing something different. It’s about connecting people who are passionate about what they produce with those who are equally as passionate about what they consume.
